Indian Teen

Recent surveys and reports say that most of the Indian Teenagers or school goers are more
interested in making their career in Bollywood, i.e in Film Industry, or are wannabe actors.

The Indian kids now choose to make a career in the film-line, rather than become a Doctor, Lawyer or an Engineer. The reason is Obvious. The glamor, pride and fame that is acquired by the Bollywood artists is not hidden from these young minds. After all who does not want to be famous and respected. These young minds are surely attracted to the acts of these T.V stars. Everyone wants to be in place of Amitabh Bachan, Shahrukh Khan, Hritik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai.

But looking at the adverse effects on the scholastics of these school goers, this is an important issue. Parents must appreciate their interest in Film Industry, but also explain to them the necessary steps and facts about the industry. Facts like: Not everyone who steps in the film industry, turns out to be Amitabh Bachan or Shahrukh Khan. There are failures in every field.
Even Film Industry has tough steps.

The young minds must be guided to a right path by their parents. ts never too late, and never too early.

Imagine a country with all actors and no other professionals. It will be a sad state.

Deepa Mehta is the Brightest

Award-winning director Deepa Mehta, whose film 'Water' was short-listed for an Oscar in the Best Foreign Film category, will be honoured at the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) as the brightest Indian director abroad.

Deepa Mehta's "Water", has a really moral theme. The Film
is set in 1938 Colonial India, against Mahatma Gandhi's rise to power, an 8-year-old Chuyia is widowed and sent to a home where Hindu widows must live in penitence. Chuyia's feisty presence deeply affects the lives of the other residents, including a young widow, who falls for a Gandhian idealist.

Such Directors are a need to the Nation, where Films with Morals are seldom made.

Media Factor

This post might look old, it has a point to be noted....
This topic should have been posted earlier, but then this blog spot did not exist.

Recently there was an issue when actor Richard Gere kissed Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty at an Aids awareness rally in New Delhi. There was a warrant issued in the name of Mr. Gere for display off affection in Public. This made the Media arise and take up the stage.

All News channels and Media personals wanted coverage on this news. The images of Gere kissing Shilpa were continuously being shown on the news and published in Magazines and News papers.

Here don't we think that we forgot why it was a news. The issue was that kissing Shilpa was an inappropriate move by Gere when in the public. There were some 1000 or more people who watched the rally. So Gere's move was noticed by that amount of people. It was not as public as the Media made it. If kissing in public is inappropriate, WHY DID THE MEDIA DISPLAY ITS IMAGES ALL OVER!

The I suppose we should also stop those images from being published. Because now Gere's actions are being more public(thanks to the Media to make it PUBLIC).
